Before you book a banquet hall, be sure that there are no noise restrictions in the contract. Although a simple banquet shouldn't get too loud, you can never account for the behavior of all your guests. Furthermore, noise restrictions may limit your entertainment options.

Your chosen banquet hall should be convenient to as many of your guests as possible. For example, a location in the heart of the city might be easiest to reach, will have more parking, and will generally have easier access to alternate transportation, if necessary.

If you'd like something a little different and you're not worried about convenience of location, consider booking a banquet hall in the country. Although it might require a bit of a drive, your guests might enjoy both the travel and the view from the hall.
